Completing this learning journey has given me a new perspective on what it means to contribute to an open-source project.

When I started, I expected to learn more about WordPress and its ecosystem. While that certainly happened, the most valuable lesson was understanding the people and processes behind every release, translation, and contribution. Open source is built by communities that collaborate, review each other’s work, and continuously improve together.

Throughout this program, I had the opportunity to contribute to the WooCommerce project through the Polyglots team, completing 243 translation contributions. While these contributions are not yet reflected in my overall contribution count, they are visible on my WordPress.org profile, and I’m proud of the work completed throughout the program.

I’m grateful to everyone who invested their time in creating this learning experience and supporting new contributors. Their guidance made it much easier to take the first steps into the WordPress community.

Although the program has come to an end, I see this as the beginning rather than the conclusion. I’ll continue contributing, learning, and staying involved with the WordPress ecosystem whenever I have the opportunity.
